Sažetak:1. The problem raised is how an aesthetic judgment, reaction and evaluation is to be distinguished from others. 2. We should expect to find a criterion which allows us to distinugish the aesthetics, the moral, the economic, the intellectual and other evaluations by a seingle 'fundamentun divisionis'. 3. All evaluations are made on the basis of criteria for the merit of the kind of thing in question. 4. An aesthetic evaluation in one which is made on the basis of a selection from the total body of relevant criteria of merit. 5. In at least the simpler cases of aesthetic evaluation the relevant criteria appear to be those which are concerned with the way the object in question looks of resents itself to the other senses. 6. It is impossible to distinguish the aesthetic by a special object, by a special characteristic attended to, or by a special emotion.
